Measured, not overstated
Acoustic Safety & Nursery Placement
01
The 50 dB design ceiling
The ARC speaker is designed around a hardware-limited 50 dB ceiling. Sound pressure level depends on measurement distance, frequency weighting, room reflections and placement. A source limit is not a guarantee of the sound level at the mattress; final measurement conditions and independent validation must accompany the production specifications.
02
AAP and NICU guidance
Pediatric guidance supports controlling noise and keeping sound devices away from infants at conservative levels. NICU guidance addresses clinical environments and is not a certification for consumer nursery devices. A single 50 dB value is not a universal safe threshold for every infant, duration or room. The ARC is not endorsed or certified by the AAP.
03
Keep cords inaccessible
Position powered equipment and cords at least 7 feet from the crib where practicable and always fully out of a child’s reach. Distance alone does not eliminate strangulation risk. Secure all cables, never route cords into or over a crib, and follow final installation instructions. Use only supplied mounting hardware as directed.
04
Responsible use
Do not place speakers, cameras, consoles or loose accessories inside the crib. Keep openings clear and use the approved power supply. A monitor does not replace adult supervision or established safe-sleep practices.
05
Not a medical device
The ARC System V1 and V1 Pro are environmental acoustic wellness devices and standard nursery monitors. They are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition, including SIDS.
