Selah Nursery
Our story.
Selah Nursery makes calm, private technology for the nursery. The ARC System is in development, built by a dad in Auburn, Alabama.
Veteran-owned
A note from our founder.
I'm David Nelson. I served in the U.S. Army as an infantryman, 11B, around rockets and gunfire, until a medical retirement ended my service sooner than I'd planned. Now I'm a husband and the dad of a baby girl.
When my daughter was born, I noticed something every time I turned on her sound machine: it was loud enough to make my ears ring. If it bothered my ears, I had to ask what it was doing to hers. So I started reading. I learned that research has found many infant sound machines can play well above recommended nursery noise levels, and that most still leave the volume to guesswork.
So I started building the one I wanted for my own family. The ARC measures the sound at the crib, responds only when it needs to, and is designed to keep your nursery's video in your home. The Army taught me to plan for things going wrong, so the ARC is designed to keep working when your internet doesn't.
Selah Nursery is veteran-owned, and right now it's just me: designing, building and testing every piece. You can follow every prototype and test right here.

The meaning of Selah.
Selah appears throughout the Psalms, and many read it as a pause: a moment to rest and reflect. Our name and our promise come from Psalm 4:8: "I will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety." That quiet intention shapes everything we build for the nursery.
